Race Engine Components was established in 1962 and has had extensive race preparation and experience driving many British Sports Racing Cars of the era.
All REC Valves are made in-house. We have our own forge, heat treatment plant, all machining, grinding and stelliting. The only thing we have done out of house is on some classic valves that need to be thread rolled and deep hole drilled.
All our Mini and Midget cranks are made from EN40B steel using our own dies which are modified to let us make cranks with a stroke from 76mm to 86mm. We can also make older Mini cranks for 'S' blocks or more available 1300 blocks. Both maching and nitriding is done locally.
We also stock Quaife 4 dog Midget/Sprite gear kits.
REC probably carry the largest stock of competition valve and classic valves in the UK.
